Image mockup automation for product graphics - Is this a thing?

Newbie question: Is there a way to use cloudinary to make mockups?

I'm a visual artist and would like to automate the process of creating mockups of my art on various products and placed in different lifestyle settings.

Here is an image of one of my paintings:

And here is the painting in a photoshop mockup depicting it as a canvas hanging on a white wall.

It isn't perfect but you get the idea.

Here's a crop where you can see that the canvas texture has been added to the image, along with some reflection in the shadow colors on the wall:

And here's an example of the same painting in a room mockup:

I have hundreds of paintings that are available on several products. So this process can take quite a while. I Would love to automate creating these somehow.

What would you do?

Hi,

You can use Cloudinary's transformations and overlays to create something similar.

1. Add background to the poster using Cloudinary Transformation: https://res.cloudinary.com/acjoshi/image/upload/w_0.15,bo_4px_solid_white/v1680286404/poster.jpg. Here is the documentation to add borders: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/effects_and_artistic_enhancements#borders
2. Overlay the image on the image with a room: https://res.cloudinary.com/acjoshi/image/upload/l_poster,w_1200,h_1800,x_20,y_-2000,bo_8px_solid_black/v1682530498/living_room.jpg For adding overlays: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/layers

You can create something similar using Cloudinary.
