This url was not playable before. It was giving error as shown in above screenshot.

Same url is now working fine.

We need to know what was the issue? What are the chances that this issue will occur in future for more transformations? And if any fixes , it would be great to get support.

We also tried to update the start offsets of above url and again we are facing time out issues 😕

Just tested that URL and it's playing well for me.

I wonder if it's local to your region, do you have a VPN you can use to test from a different location and let me know if you get the same error there?

Now they started to working for me as well. Seems like this is happening for long urls.
Some other info that might help to troubleshoot : The video duration is 30 mins in above case and we are trying to split and merge around the end part of the video.
We have requirement for to split and merge short clips which might end up with very long urls.

If the video is playing now then the URL length should not be a problem.

I would recommend generating these videos eagerly (with async:true) as there are several transformations that we need to perform on a long video and the processing can take time.

You can setup a webhook to get notified when the processing completes and only once the processing is complete, access the video.

The 494 response indicates the request URL was too large to be handled by our backend or by one of our CDN partners - please follow up on one of the support requests you opened for our team directly if you have any follow-up questions about that.

To give a general answer for others who may read this post, Cloudinary does not have a specific upper limit on the URL length, but request URLs above approximately 2.5 KB can cause issues in some cases.

If the URL is extremely long you can address that by reducing the length of the public_id values of the asset(s) in the transformation string, or by moving as much as possible of the URL into Named Transformations.
 
Alternatively, you could call the Upload API and perform the transformation as an Incoming Transformation ( https://cloudinary.com/documentation/eager_and_incoming_transformations#incoming_transformations ) with the async: true parameter mentioned earlier
 
To work with an existing asset without affecting the original, a similar option is to pass the transformation details directly as an eager transformation (  https://cloudinary.com/documentation/eager_and_incoming_transformations#eager_transformations  ) to the explicit method of the upload API, using eager_async: true as a parameter. You can then optionally copy the new derived asset to be a new "original" asset in your account, which won't contain the transformation options in the delivery URL.
