Clipping path in TIF is lost in JPG

Hello guys,

I'm uploading a TIF file which contains a clipping path created in Photoshop. I would like download this file in JPG file format including the clipping path.

When I download the JPG file and open it in Photoshop, the clipping path is gone.

Does anybody had this behaviour before?

Best Regards

Ramin

    Hi Ramin.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

You should be able to change the file format in the asset URL to .tiff and download the tiff file, maintaining its clipping path. That being said, if you are able to share the URL of your asset, I'll be able to take a look further to see if we can preserve the clipping path when delivering as a JPG. I'm sending this reply via our support system too in case you don't want to share this link publicly, so keep an eye on your emails :)

    Thanks,

    -Danny

    Hi Cloudinary

I too have this problem. I have jpg files which contain clipping paths but when I transform them to square images and then download, the clipping path is removed.

Is there a way to preserve the clipping path?

    Thanks
    Mark
