Applying Cloundinary's AI Video Preview to YouTube hosted video
Hi
We're looking to redevelop the Attitude website (https://attitudelive.com/) who are the World's largest producers of film content for those affected by disability and chronic health.
Videos for the website are currently hosted on Brightcove but will soon be replaced with YouTube embeds. Attitude's main funder has mandated this move.
We will likely use vidstack.io to stream our YouTube videos as it has a custom player and controls.
KEY QUESTION
Is it possible to use Cloudinary's AI Video preview transformation on our YouTube hosted videos?
It would be awesome if we could create an AI Video Preview without uploading the video to cloundinary, but instead capturing the video as a stream and creating the preview from this.
If not, It would be ideal if we could upload a video to Cloudinary once we receive it from post-production, create 5 second previews and then host the previews, either on Cloudinary or move them to our own hosting environment. Is this possible?
We would not need to keep the original video on cloudinary, this could be deleted. The videos arae around 20 - 25 minutes long.
Any thoughts or advice would be welcome :-)
Thanks
Jonathan

Hi @jonathan_prettygood ,
Thanks for reaching out.
It is possible to use our AI-based video preview on your YouTube-hosted videos but they would need to be uploaded to Cloudinary first.
You can use Eager transformations to asynchronously create the video preview and once complete upload the preview to YouTube and delete it from Cloudinary.
Please have a read through the docs I linked and let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind Regards,
Thomas
