Request for continuation and replacement of plan credits

Loriwu Member Posts: 1

Hi, The credits I used have exceeded the $249 plan limit and now our account status is unavailable. If we apply for an upgrade to the $549 plan this month, can we change to the $249 or $99 plan next month?

Also, seeing that our credits are mainly used for brandwidth, what are the ways we can reduce the amount of brandwidth used?

Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi @Loriwu,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you upgrade to the $549 plan, you can only downgrade the next month if your usage is under the $249 limit. If you are still above the limit, you won't be able to downgrade.

After reviewing your recent usage, I’d like to suggest some optimizations, which if implemented can save you bandwidth, improve performance, and may also save you the need to upgrade at this point.

For example, you are delivering unoptimized assets on most of your traffic by not using any of our transformations. By applying a transformation to your assets (e.g. width, height, etc), Cloudinary automatically optimizes the assets using the industry's best practices. Two specific Cloudinary transformations I’d suggest you utilize to optimize your images further are f_auto and q_auto , and q_auto only for your videos.

I also wanted to provide a quick overview of how to track your usage so that you can help prevent overage and spikes in the future. Your Dashboard on the home page updates every day to reflect your usage over the last 30 days, and the Reports page includes even more helpful metrics including top image/video requests, countries, and more.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions. 😊

    Kind regards,
